We received some awesome photo entries in our Black Friday 2011 Doorbuster Photo Contest! A few of them were so great we’ve passed them around the office. You guys all impressed us with your savvy doorbuster-shopping skills, but the winner made most of our jaws drop! Our lucky winner will receive a Canon PowerShot SD4500IS 10MP Digital Camera, worth $200!

We hate to hear these types of stories, but they do happen. Just a reminder to be good to your fellow Black Friday shoppers and don’t let greed ruin the spirit of a fun Black Friday shopping day.
Angry crowds can ruin the fun for everyone on Black Friday.
Myrtle Beach, SC: A 55 year old woman was shot and wounded during a robbery near a Walmart store. The woman was shot after refusing to give robbers her purse.
San Leandro, CA: Police found a victim of a shooting in a parking lot and the suspect of the shooting being held by the vicitm’s family members. The shooting apparently happened when the suspect demanded the victim’s merchandise and was denied. The victim is currently in critical but stable condition.
Los Angeles, CA: A woman shopping at Walmart used pepper spray fellow shoppers. This incident happened a little after 10PM on Thanksgiving and 20 shoppers were injured during this attack, 10 of which were from pepper spray and the other 10 were from people fleeing and getting stepped on or pushed down.
West Des Moines, IA: Police are investigating a possible shooting after gun shots were reported at a mall just after 4AM. So far no injuries are reported.
Rome, NY: Several Walmart shoppers in the electronics section were pushed to the ground during a fight that broke out at the 12AM opening of the store, one man was charged with disorderly conduct.
Kinston, NC: An off duty police officer helping with security at a local Walmart used pepper spray on a reported 20 people to make an arrest during a disturbance.
Cave Creek, AZ: Walmart shoppers were evacuated after a robot found a device suspected to be explosive left in a refrigerator in a break room. The person responsible for the device could face felony charges.
While we love deals, we’ve NEVER seen a deal great enough to warrant violence. Be safe and be nice to your fellow Black Friday shoppers.

Barnes & Noble Black Friday Sale
The biggest news in the Barnes & Noble Black Friday sale is the announcement of the Nook Simple Touch Reader dropping to $79. They even used 2-pages of their ad to tell you! You can also get 50% off any one educational toy or game, on Friday only. Plus, you can get 30% off any one item starting now at BN.com or 11/25-11/27 in stores. Stein Mart Black Friday Ad

Walmart has released their pre-Black Friday deals at Walmart.com! There are a limited number of items, and we already see some that are sold out, so act quickly to take advantage of these prices. They have specials on electronics, home goods, toys, video games and more.
Some highlights from the Walmart pre-Black Friday sale include:

Target has announced their Surprise 2-Day Sale, which will take place online from 11/24-11/26, as well as in-store from 11/25-11/26. This sale will allow you to shop some of their doorbuster deals early and from your home computer, which is a huge plus for those of you that did not like the idea of Target opening at 12AM. Note that there are select deals available in-store only.

Many of you have been asking about discounts on Apple products for Black Friday. Well, we have some news- Apple has announced that they WILL have a Black Friday sale!
While they seem to be staying quite tight-lipped about the actual sale details, they have announced some details on their events page. For one-day only, they are offering discounts on the iPad, iPod and other Mac items. Just visit their Shopping Events page to bookmark it and check it out on the big day!

The Black Friday ads and updates keep rolling in. and we’ve got 3 more updates for you! eBay announced that they will have a countdown to Black Friday similar to Amazon’s. Plus, we’ve posted the 2011 Pacific Sunwear Black Friday ad and the 2011 Sam Ash Black Friday Ad.
eBay’s Countdown to Black Friday
eBay is planning on offering special “Buy It Now” deals all week long to gear up for Black Friday. They will combine these deals with their 25 Days of Deals, which ends on December 15. You can expect discounts on items like HDTVs, cameras, tablets and more. The best part is, you don’t have to bid! You just click and purchase at the discounted price.
2011 PacSun Black Friday Sale
The 2011 PacSun Black Friday Ad has been posted. In stores only, until 1PM on Black Friday, you can get 40% off sitewide. Through 3PM, both in-store and online, all items are Buy 1 Get 1 free (excluding sunglasess). Some doorbuster deals include:
