Staples has released their 2011 Black Friday ad. They will be open on Black Friday at 6am and the Early Bird Specials will be valid until noon. This 6-page ad features laptops, software, computer accessories, office furniture and more.
Some price highlights from the 2011 Staples Black Friday Ad include:
- A 32″ LG LED HDTV for $299.99
- Omnitech 11-sheet cross-cut shredder for $19.99
- HP 6500A all-in-one printer for $59.98

Cabela’s has posted their 2011 Black Friday ad! Their doors will open at 5AM on the big day and doorbuster sales will last 5-hours; until 10AM. This 28-page ad covers apparel, hunting gear, outdoor supplies and more.
Some price highlights from the 2011 Cabela’s Black Friday Ad include:

Modell’s Black Friday 2011 Ad has been released! This 8-page ad features deals on items from apparel to footwear to exercise equipment and more. They will be open at 5AM or earlier (some locations open as early as midnight- visit their Facebook for exact location hours) on Black Friday. Their Hot Black Friday Deals are only valid until 3PM on 11/25, while some 3-Day Sale prices will last through Sunday, 11/27.
The Modell’s Black Friday Ad highlights include:
- Select team licensed gifts for $5
- Reebok youth team licensed fleeces for $19.99
- Table top games (air hockey, foosball and more) for $10

The details of the “major cinematic event” that Best Buy referenced in the announcement of their midnight Black Friday hours were leaked late last night in an interview with Best Buy CEO Brian Dunn posted at TwinCities.com.
Best Buy will show Harry Potter in select parking lots to entertain Black Friday crowds.
Speaking at a Business for Social Responsibility conference, Dunn revealed that select stores will host a viewing of Harry Potter in the parking lot. The comments were not specific about which movie in the series would be shown, though we’re thinking that Deathly Hallows Part 2 is a safe bet given that the DVD’s 11/11 release date would make it a hot item for the holidays. The movie will keep the waiting crowd entertained and should be wrapping up just in time for the doors to open. It marks the first time in memory that a major retailer has hosted an event of this kind to attract Black Friday crowds, and we expect it to tip the scales in Best Buy’s favor when Black Friday shoppers start planning where to begin their shopping day.
We expect more concrete details about Best Buy’s Harry Potter movie event to be announced in the coming days. Since this event is confirmed to be only for select locations, be sure to check with your local store before making your Black Friday movie night plans.

While browsing Facebook, we saw that Lowe’s had a “Black Friday Throwdown” game going on their page. It allows Fans to enter to choose what they think will be the hottest Black Friday 2011 seller. This means that we get a sneak peek at what items will drop for Black Friday as well as the prices to expect! The game states that these prices will be effective at 12:01AM on 11/24-11/28.
The list includes:

- Holiday Living 6′ 6” Christmas Tree with Clear Lights for $48

Black Friday season is really heating up now, and holiday retailers know it’s simply not enough to have a killer Black Friday ad anymore. Here’s the latest round up of toy books and pre-Black Friday sales from three of Black Friday’s biggest names.
Walmart, Target and Sears are gearing up for Black Friday 2011 with early sales.
Walmart Toyland Gift Book
Walmart rolled out it’s annual Toyland Gift Book yesterday. Prices are good through Thanksgiving Day. Walmart will also be hosting an in-store Super Saturday event on 11/5 beginning at 11am featuring pre-Black Friday deals on items throughout the store. Some highlights include:
- Sanyo 42″ Class LCD TV 1080p – $398
- Better Homes and Gardens 10-Cup Programmable Grind & Brew Coffee Maker – $39
- Playskool Sesame Street Let’s Rock! Elmo – $54.88
- Nook Color – $199
As of this morning the link from Walmart’s front page appears to be malfunctioning, telling us that there is no ad for our store right now regardless of what zip code we use, but we expect Walmart will resolve the issue shortly.
Target Holiday Toy Sale
The Target Holiday Toy Sale advertisement features pricing good through November 23. Some highlights include:

Sears Family & Friends Night
Sears is hosting its annual

Starting November 21, Amazon will have a Countdown to Black Friday Week. This will be the time to start checking Amazon daily for some pre-Black Friday goodies! You can visit their Countdown Page now and see their current on-site deals as well as sign up for e-mails, follow their Twitter and more to keep you in the loop for this seasons hottest shopping d
ay.
Although they do have some deals listed on their Countdown Page, it may be worth waiting for 11/21 and see if the deals get even better. While you may not be able to pass up the Sing-A-Ma-Jig for $6.45, you might want to wait to buy that HDTV you’ve been drooling over.

It has begun!
The Harbor Freight Tools Black Friday ad has been released. It is 2-pages long and, for the second year in a row, was the first of the Black Friday ads to be released. The Harbor Freight’s “After Thanksgiving 3 Day Sale” will run from Black Friday (November 25) to November 28. Doors will open at 6am for Harbor Freight Inside Track Club members and at 7am for all other shoppers. Some highlights from Harbor Freight Tools Black Friday ad included:
- Chicago Electric Reciprocating Saw with Rotating Handle for $19.99
- 80 Piece Rotary Tool Kit for $6.99
- Drillmaster 18V Cordless Drill/Driver & Flashlight Kit for $18.99

We’re just a little under two months from Black Friday now. Can you believe it? Time is FLYING! Have you started thinking about your shopping strategy yet?
