As Black Friday 2011 approaches, details are starting to leak from retailers and manufacturers alike, offering a tantalizing picture of what Black Friday shoppers might expect to see when the doors finally open. Two high profile leaks in particular caught our eye today, one from someone claiming to be a Sony employee, and another hidden on Target’s website that was spotted by a sharp-eyed shopper.
Playstation3 and Playstation Move
The leaked Playstation3 Complete Entertainment Bundle packaging boasts over $165 in savings!
A user known as “scream777″ in the SlickDeals forums who claims to work at a Sony facility posted what he purports to be photos of gaming bundles and special edition games that are due out just in time for Black Friday. The photos show packaging for a previously unannounced Playstation Move kit, called the Mayhem Edition, that includes Resistance 3, Kill Zone 3. While some folks are questioning the authenticity of the images (“stereoscopic” is misspelled on the box), our team thinks these could be legit. If it ‘s true, then our favorite part is the “Over $165 Savings” quote printed on the box, of course!
Target
Target appears to have accidentally posted their Black Friday “2-say sale doorbusters”, only to quickly take them down again. Luckily, a quick-thinking customer grabbed a screenshot before Target pulled it down! First spotted by a user over at bfads.net, the speculation is that while this page obviously isn’t showing Black Friday sale prices, it may in fact show the items you can expect to find bargains on when their ads are released. Items include the Playstation3 (no word on whether or not the bundle mentioned above will be included), Xbox 260 4GB Console, five different HDTVs ranging from 22-46 inches, DualShock 3 Controllers, and, our personal favorite, a Harley Davidson radio-controlled monster truck. The ETA on official Target Black Friday ads is Tuesday November 8, 2011, and it will be interesting to see if the leaked web page matches up to the real deal.
